The author studies weak solutions of the Cauchy problem for a nonlinear equation in the set of Radon probability measures. He considers the case when a set, on which a measure is defined is compact, allows to treat a space of measures as a dual space of continuous functions. This slightly restricts applications to infinite dimensional spaces but provides new capabilities for applying the method developed in this paper for proving existence and uniqueness theorems for generalized solutions of various classes of nonlinear differential equations.
