The authors study the following second-order abstract Cauchy problem \[ u''(t)+kt^{-1}u'(t)=(-1)^{m}A^{m}u(t),\quad t>0,\quad u(0)=u_{0}, u'(0)=0, \] in a Banach space \(E\), where \(A\) is a closed linear operator with dense domain \(D(A)\), \(k>0\), \(m\) is a natural number, and \(u_{0}\) is an element of \(E\). They assume that the problem \[ u''(t)+ku'(t)=Au(t),\quad t>0,\quad u(0)=u_{0}, u'(0)=0, \] is uniformly well-posed. By means of the Fourier-Bessel transformation they derive sufficient conditions for the well-posedness of the problem under consideration.
