The paper presents how control with linguistic fuzzy rules (called Words) can be used in modularisation and aggregation design of large-scaled systems. Comparison with some recent pioneering results indicates that control with Words can improve performance and maintain stability of the control process. The knowledge about the interconnection among modules is formulated as fuzzy linguistic rules, and the membership functions are tuned adaptively. Transforming a priori information from Words into numerical engineering action is the main innovation of the methodology.
