Consider a Euclidean Jordan algebra \(V\) and let \(\Omega\) be the associated symmetric cone endowed with the natural Riemannian and Finsler metrics [see \textit{Y. Lim}, Math. Ann. 316, 379-389 (2000; Zbl 0948.22007) and Arch. Math. 75, 407-411 (2000; Zbl 0963.15022)]. The author uses the contraction property of conformal compressions of \(\Omega\) to represent the unique fixed point of a conformal compression as the geometric mean of its images at the origin and the infinity point. The paper also includes a representation of this fixed point of a strict conformal compression as a limit of continued fractions of the Euclidean Jordan algebra. One of the methods used is the triple and Ol'shanskii decomposition of the compression.
