The author considers the following \(p\)-adic Schrödinger-type operator: \(H=D^\alpha +V(x)\), where \(\alpha >0\), \(D^\alpha\) is the fractional differentiation operator on \(L_2(\mathbb Q_p)\), \(V(x)=\sum_{n=-\infty}^\infty \nu_n(\omega)\delta (p^n- |x|_p)\), \(\nu_n\) are independent random variables, such that the distribution of \(\nu_n\) is concentrated on an interval \([a_n,b_n]\), \(a_n\in \mathbb R\cup \{-\infty \}\), \(b_n\in \mathbb R\cup \{\infty \}\). It is assumed that all the random variables \(\nu_n\) with positive \(n\) are identically distributed, \(a_n\to 0\), \(b_n\to 0\) as \(n\to -\infty\). A description of the essential spectrum of the operator \(H\) is given. The method is based on the characterization of the essential spectrum for the non-random case given by the reviewer [Theor. Math. Phys. 86, No. 3, 221-228 (1991; Zbl 0809.47060); ``Pseudo-differential equations and stochastics over non-Archimedean fields''. Pure and Applied Mathematics, Marcel Dekker. 244.
