On Ruelle-Perron-Frobenius operators. II: Convergence speeds (Q5953697)

The authors present their results on the convergence speed of the powers of the Ruelle operator, which is new in the general setting that is considered here. They study Ruelle operators on expanding and mixing dynamical systems with potential function satisfying the Dini condition. The construct non-Markovian partitions and give some examples providing different kind of convergence speeds (polynomial, superpolynomial, subexponential, etc.). Moreover they apply the main result to get decays of correlation and the central limit theorems. Part I, cf. ibid. 223, 125-141 (2001; Zbl 0987.37013).
