Let \(X\) be a Banach space and \((\Omega,\tau,\Sigma,\mu)\) a \(\sigma\)-finite outer regular quasi-Radon measure space, where \(\tau\) is a topology with \(\tau\subset\Sigma\). Suppose \(f: \Omega\to X\) is Pettis integrable on \(\Omega\) and its integral over \(E\in\Sigma\) is denoted by \(V_f(E)\). Let \(|V_f|\) be the variation of \(V_f\). The variation \(|V_f|\) is said to be moderated if there exists a sequence \(\{W_n\}\) of open sets with finite \(|V_f|\)-measure covering \(\Omega\). A function \(f:\Omega\to X\) is said to be variationally McShane integrable (VM-integrable) if it is Pettis integrable and for each \(\varepsilon> 0\), there exists a gauge \(\Delta:\Omega\to \tau\) such that \[ \sum_i\Biggl\|f(w_i)\mu(E_i)- \int_{E_i}f\Biggr\|< \varepsilon \] for each \(\Delta\)-fine generalized McShane partition \(\{(E_i, w_i)\}^\infty_{i=1}\) of \(\Omega\). In this paper, it is proved that \(f:\Omega\to X\) is VM-integrable if and only if it is strongly measurable, Pettis integrable and \(|V_f|\) is a moderated measure. Some known results of Banach-valued integrals are consequences of this theorem.
