Let \({\mathbb H}^3\) denote the half-space model of the 3-dimensional hyperbolic space. A conformal immersion \(X:{\mathbb D}^\ast\to{\mathbb H}^3\) of constant mean curvature from the punctured disk \({\mathbb D}^\ast=\{z\in{\mathbb C};0<|z|<1\}\) into \({\mathbb H}^3\) is called a CMC-1-end, if for each path \(\gamma:[0,1[\to{\mathbb D}^\ast\) such that \(\gamma(t)\to 0\) for \(t\to 1\), the corresponding curve \(X\circ\gamma\) in \({\mathbb H}^3\) has infinite arc length. A CMC-1-end is called regular, if its hyperbolic Gauss-map extends analytically to the puncture 0. A correspondence between pairs \((g,\omega)\) consisting of a meromorphic function \(g\) and a meromorphic differential form \(\omega\) on a Riemann surface and CMC-1-surfaces in \({\mathbb H}^3\) similar to the Weierstrass representation formula was established by \textit{R. Bryant} in [Astérisque 154/155, 321-347 (1988; Zbl 0635.53047)]. CMC-1-surfaces of \(H^3\) and minimal surfaces of \({\mathbb R}^3\) corresponding to the same data are called cousins of each other. The main result of the paper is a geometric classification of regular ends with finite total curvature, namely: If \(E\) is a regular embedded CMC-1-end of \({\mathbb H}^3\) then \(E\) is either asymptotic to a catenoid cousin (embedded or not embedded) or to a horosphere. It is proved that in the half-space model of \({\mathbb H}^3\) this asymptotics can be estabished within the class of CMC-1 surfaces that are vertical Euclidean graphs, i. e., of surfaces that can be parametrized as graphs of functions \(x_3=f(x_1,x_2)\), where \(x_1,x_2,x_3\) are cartesian coordinates on \({\mathbb R}^3\). Moreover, symmetry properties of CMC-1-cousins of certain minimal surfaces are studied. The cousins of the helicoid in the half-space model are described.
