Nevanlinna's ``five-values'' theorem asserts that if two non-constant meromorphic functions of a complex variable attain five distinct values at the same points (ignoring multiplicity), then they must coincide. A corresponding ``four-values'' theorem for \(p\)-adic meromorphic functions was proved by \textit{W. W. Adams} and \textit{E. G. Straus} [Ill. J. Math. 15, 418-424 (1971; Zbl 0215.13202)]. The present paper extends the result of Adams and Straus to the case of \(p\)-adic holomorphic curves in \(\mathbb P^n\), as follows. Let \(f\) and \(g\) be two linearly non-degenerate \(p\)-adic holomorphic curves in \(\mathbb P^n\). Let \(H_1,\dots,H_{3n+1}\) be hyperplanes in \(\mathbb P^n(\mathbb C_p)\) in general position. Assume that \(f^{-1}(H_j)=g^{-1}(H_j)\) for all \(1\leq j\leq 3n+1\); \(f(z)=g(z)\) for all \(z\in\bigcup_{j=1}^{3n+1}f^{-1}(H_j)\); and that the image of \(f\) (and therefore of \(g\)) is disjoint from \(H_i\cap H_j\) for all \(i\neq j\). Then \(f\equiv g\). The proof uses Cartan's Wronskian argument. A generalization regarding linear dependence of \(\lambda\geq 2\) holomorphic curves is also given. A corresponding result is shown to hold if multiplicity is taken into account: Let \(f\) and \(g\) be \(p\)-adic holomorphic curves in \(\mathbb P^n\), at least one of which is linearly non-degenerate. Let \(H_1,\dots,H_{n+2}\) be hyperplanes in general position, and assume that the divisors \(f^{*}H_j\) and \(g^{*}H_j\) coincide for all \(1\leq j\leq n+2\). Then \(f\equiv g\). This is proved using the fact that any non-vanishing \(p\)-adic entire function must be constant.
