From author's summary: We develop a finite difference method based on a linearized kinetic model to analyze the steady isothermal axisymmetric rarefied gas flow in a circular pipe of finite length. For a long pipe, we present an asymptotic solution which corresponds to one-dimensional Poiseuille flow in the middle portion of the pipe, and describes flow regions at the pipe ends.
