Let \(M\) be a closed (compact with no boundary) real \((2n+2)\)-dimensional (codimension 2) submanifold of \(\mathbb{C}^{n+2}\). The ``subbundle'' \(H\) of maximally complex subspaces of \(TM\) is not a true bundle. There are so-called complex jump points, denoted by \(S\), where \(H\) will have real dimension \(2n+2\). There is a version of the Gauss map from \(M-S\) to a flag manifold \(F\). The CR-Nash blow-up \(\widehat M\) of \(M\) is the closure of the graph of this map in \(M\times F.\) The Gauss map \(g:M\to Gr(2n+2,\mathbb{C}^{n+2})\) assigns each point of \(M\) its tangent space in the Grassmannian \(Gr(2n+2,\mathbb{C}^{n+2})\). Let \(C\) denote the space of elements in \(Gr(2n+2,\mathbb{C}^{n+2})\), which inherit a complex structure from \(\mathbb{C}^{n+2}\). The author proves the following result. Suppose \(g(M)\) intersects \(C\) transversally. Then \(\widehat M\) is a smooth manifold.
