A Plücker space is a pair \((G,\sim)\), where \(G\) is a nonempty set and \(\sim\) is a reflexive, symmetric relation on \(G\) satisfying the property: For each pair \(a\), \(b\in G\) there exists a finite number of elements \(c_1\), \(c_2,\dots, c_n\in G\) such that \(a\sim c_1\sim c_2\sim \cdots\sim c_n\sim b\). A Plücker transformation of the Plücker space \((G,\sim)\) is a bijection \(\varphi: G\to G\) with \(a\sim b\) if and only if \(a\varphi\sim b \varphi\) for all \(a\), \(b\in G\). \textit{W. Benz} [`Geometrische Transformationen', B. I. Wissenschaftsverlag, Mannheim-Leipzig-Zürich (1992; Zbl 0754.51005)] and \textit{W. Benz} and \textit{E. M. Schröder} [Geom. Dedicata 21, 265-276 (1986; Zbl 0605.51003)] discuss orthogonality-preserving Plücker transformations of euclidean spaces. In this setting \(G\) is the set of lines and \(a\sim b\) means \(a=b\) or \(a\) and \(b\) meet orthogonally. \textit{H. Havlicek} [Rend. Mat. Appl., VII Ser. 15, No. 1, 39-56 (1995; Zbl 0828.51005) and Math. Pannonica 6, No. 1, 145-153 (1995; Zbl 0829.51002)] discusses Plücker transformations for elliptic and symplectic spaces. In this article the author considers finite-dimensional hyperbolic space \({\mathcal H}\) obtained from a pappian projective space \(\Pi\) as follows. Let \(\mathbb{Q}\) be an oval quadric in \(\Pi\) with polarity \(\pi\). The space \({\mathcal H}\) consists of the interior points of \(\mathbb{Q}\) and lines \(\ell\) where \(\ell= \overline\ell \cap{\mathcal H}\) with \(\overline \ell\) a line of \(\Pi\) intersecting the set \({\mathcal H}\) nontrivially. With \(G\) the set of lines of \({\mathcal H}\) a relation \(\sim\) is defined similarly to that given above for euclidean spaces using the polarity \(\pi\) associated with \(\mathbb{Q}\). The author shows that all Plücker transformations of \({\mathcal H}\) are induced by a collineation of the projective space \(\Pi\) preserving the quadric \(\mathbb{Q}\).
