The authors consider the operator equations \(F(x)=0\), where \(F\) is a nonlinear operator and \(F'(x)\) is not required to be regular in the neighborhood of the solution \(x^*\). The convergence rate of iterative methods for these ill-posed nonlinear equations is estimated. The parameter of the estimates are regular functions of the sourcewise representation index of the unknown solution.
