The objective is to study the steady-state crack-propagation in two layers, the superposed one displaying elastic-plastic behavior with linear isotropic hardening. Asymptotic analysis for the crack tip field is carried out giving solutions for shear, tension local stress, deformation and toughness. Results elucidate the effects of constitutive parameters and porosity on stability, rebonding process and occurence of kinking. The numerical integration via Runge-Kutta procedure leads to diagrams for stress singularity, volume fraction of voids, hardening parameter, Young modulus, point coordinates and effective stresses. Asymptotic assembly of phase sectors is determined with the corresponding plots. This analysis predicts overall strength toughness and reliability for any advanced composite material. Finally, the author compare the results obtained with the previous ones.
