The general solution of spherically isotropic piezoelectric media and its applications (Q5955283)

This note is addressed to a general solution of three-dimensional equlibrium problem of spherically isotropic piezoelectric media. The solution is expressed by a pair of second-order and sixth-order differential equations in terms of two potential functions. By use of the solution, numerical results are reported for a piezoelectric spherical shell and for a piezoelectric cone under some boundary conditions. The note treats static problems, though piezoelectricity is basically a dynamic field.
