An investigation of the exterior initial boundary value problem for the Stokes equation with Dirichlet boundary condition in \(R^2\) is presented. The nonstationary problem is replaced by Rothe's method (method of lines) to a system of boundary value problems for the Stokes resolvent equations. Further this system is reduced by a potential approach to a system of boundary integral equations. The logarithmic singularity in the kernels is separated and represented in a form which is convenient for the numerical solution by a trigonometric quadrature method. Some results of numerical experiments are also included and discussed.
