A \(q\)-analogue of Riemann's zeta-function was first proposed by \textit{K. Ueno} and \textit{M. Nishizawa} [Lukierski, Jerzy (ed.) et al., Quantum groups: formalism and applications. Proceedings of the XXX Karpacz winter school of theoretical physics, Karpacz, Poland, 1994. Warszawa: PWN-Polish Scientific Publishers. 115-126 (1995; Zbl 0874.17006)]. Of course, a possible \(q\)-deformation is not unique, and the author proposes several other definitions of the \(q\)-zeta function whose analytic properties have certain advantages, like similarities with the classical case, connections with other studies in \(q\)-analysis, especially the author's results on difference generalizations of the Harish-Chandra theory of zonal spherical functions [\textit{I. Cherednik}, Invent. Math. 122, 119-145 (1995; Zbl 0854.22021); Int. Math. Res. Not. 1997, No. 10, 449-467 (1997; Zbl 0981.33012); ibid., No. 15, 733-750 (1997; Zbl 0882.22016)]. For each \(q\)-zeta function the meromorphic continuation is established, and various information about the zeros is obtained. The limit \(q\to 1\) is also considered.
