The authors propose and analyze a conforming finite element method to compute efficiently discrete solutions of the generalized minimization problem in micromagnetics. The convergence of the method is proved and details of the algorithm as well as its analysis are given, too. Numerical examples are also given in order to show the efficiency of the scheme.
