The author studies the wave propagation in a prestressed viscoelastic thin tube containing a viscous Newtonian fluid. A reductive perturbation technique is used to study the propagation of weakly nonlinear waves in the longwave approximation. Travelling wave solutions to various related equations are also obtained. Finally, some numerical results are presented based on a finite difference scheme.
