The infrared behavior of a system consisting of a massive scalar field coupled to gravity is investigated. It is shown that the infrared divergences of bremsstrahlung, graviton self-energy, and matter self-energy, are all logarithmic. So it may be possible that these contributions to the divergences, together with the contributions from the vertex functions, cancel out exactly.
