Torsion of compound cross-sections with imperfect interface (Q5956710)

The authors deal with a Saint-Venant type problem for bars with a compound cross-section with an imperfect interface. A two-layered rectangular or circular sector cross-section is considered. Two cases of imperfect interfaces are studied in the case of a thin interface of low shear modulus, as well as in the case of a thin interface of high shear modulus. Benchmark solutions are derived taking into account the effect of imperfect bending on the torsional rigidity.
