      In this paper some mean-value estimates pertaining to the Riemann zeta-function are given. The estimates are easy consequences of well-known theorems which can be found in Titchmarsh's treatise. For example, it is shown that for fixed \(\Re s = \sigma \in (1/2,1)\) \[ \limsup_{T\to \infty}{1\over 2T} \int_{-T}^{T} \biggl|\zeta(\sigma + it) - \sum_{n=1}^{N}n^{-(\sigma +it)}\biggr|^2 dt \to 0 \quad\text{as }N\to\infty. \]
