Let \(G\) be an Abelian group and let \(\langle x_\alpha \rangle_{ \alpha\in A}\) be a net in \(G\). The author characterizes the finest group topology on \(G\) for which the net \(\langle x_\alpha \rangle_{\alpha\in A}\) converges to 0. If \(H\) is a subgroup of \(G\), a characterization of the existence of Hausdorff group topologies on \(G\) in which \(H\) is a dense subgroup is offered in terms of special nets converging to 0 in some Hausdorff group topology. Then the author concludes (Proposition 3.11) that if \(|G|>2^{|H |}\), then \(H\) cannot be a dense subgroup of \(G\) in any Hausdorff group topology. This is false since \(\mathbb{T}^c\) contains a dense cyclic group.
