In the paper under review, the author continues his earlier work [Jap. J. Math., New Ser. 22, No.~1, 79--128 (1996; Zbl 0861.58037)] . In that paper the author constructed the smooth integral kernel of the heat semigroup generated by the \(\overline{\partial_b}\)-Laplacian and the \(\overline{\partial}\)-Laplacian with the \(\overline{\partial}\)-Neumann boundary condition in full generality on certain domains with infinite degeneracy and under a restricted condition. The author estimated the integral kernel to prove the \(C^\infty\)-local hypoellipticity of the \(\overline{\partial}\)-Laplacian. In this paper the author gives an effective upper estimate of the integral kernels under another condition and uses this estimate to prove the hypoellipticity of the \(\overline{\partial_b}\)-Laplacian and the \(\overline{\partial}\)-Laplacian. The condition for the hypoellipticity is improved and the proof is simplified. The trick in this work is that the author uses an upper estimate of the integral kernel of the heat semigroup generated by the Pauli Hamiltonian. The author also discusses a generalization of this estimate.
