The fibre-reinforced materials found a large use in various engineering areas. A theory for such materials where the fibers are taken to be an inherent material property has been elaborated. Also, in the frame of this theory the transverse isotropy was assumed. In this case the strain-stress relationships contain five constants what means a high algebraic difficulty. An additional constraint, that of the incompressibility, decreases the number of constant from five to three. This fact is a fact of high importance, especially in the the case of layered media. Here, using the above formalism, the authors derive the dispersion relation for elastic plate composed of incompressible transversely isotropic elastic materials subject to zero traction on the upper and lower surface. The study is carried our both analytically and numerically. Long wave and short wave cases are discussed.
