    Denote by \(\mathcal F ( \mathbb{R}^{p}) \) the class of functions \(V:\mathbb{R}^{p}\to[ 0,1] \) which are upper semicontinuous and have compact support supp\( V\). For \(V\in\mathcal F ( \mathbb{R}^{p}) \) let \(V_{\alpha}=\{ x\in\mathbb{R} ^{p}:V( x) \geq\alpha\} ,\alpha>0\), and \(V_{0}=\) supp\( V\). Equip the set \(\mathcal F( \mathbb{R}^{p}) \) with a linear structure by defining \(( U+V) ( x) =\sup\{ \alpha\in[ 0,1] :x\in U_{\alpha}+V_{\alpha}\} \) and \(( \lambda U) ( x) =U( \lambda x) \) if \(\lambda\neq 0\) and \(=I_{\{ 0\} }( x) \) if \(\lambda=0\), where \(I_{A}\) denotes the characteristic function of the set \(A\). Define also a metric on \(\mathcal F( \mathbb{R}^{p}) \) by \(d_{\infty}( U,V) =\sup\{ d_{H}( V_{\alpha} ,W_{\alpha}) :\alpha\in[ 0,1] \} \), where \(d_{H}\) is the Hausdorff metric on \(\mathbb{R}^{p}.\) For a compact Hausdorff space \(\Omega\) denote by \(\mathcal B( \Omega,\mathcal F( \mathbb{R}^{p})) ( \mathcal C( \Omega,\mathcal F( \mathbb{R}^{p}))) \) the set of all bounded (respectively continuous) functions from \(\Omega\) to \(\mathcal F( \mathbb{R}^{p}) \) with the metric \(D_{\infty}( X,Y) =\sup\{ d_{\infty}( X( t) ,Y( t)) :t\in\Omega\} \). An operator \(T:\mathcal C( \Omega,\mathcal F( \mathbb{R}^{p})) \to\mathcal C( \Omega,\mathcal F( \mathbb{R}^{p})) \) is called linear if \(T( aX+bY) =aTX+bTY\), \(a,b\in[ 0,\infty) ;\) sublinear if \(T( X+Y) \subset TX+TY\) and \(T( aX) =aTX,a\geq 0;\) positive if \(X\subset Y\) implies \(TX\subset TY\), and an \(\mathcal F\)-operator if \(( TX) ( \omega) =( TY) ( \omega) \) whenever \(\omega\in\Omega\) is such that \(X( \omega) =Y( \omega) \). Spaces of measurable and Aumann integrable multifunctions are also considered. The authors obtain within this framework Korovkin-type theorems, discuss the relations with other results of this kind and present some consequences for the special class of operators defined by partial sum stochastic processes.
