In order to generalize some results of \textit{Y. V. Rogovchenko} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 229, 399--416 (1999; Zbl 0921.34034)] and \textit{W.-T. Li} and \textit{R. R. Agarwal} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 245, 171--188 (2000; Zbl 0983.34020)] for the scalar differential equation \(x''(t)+q(t)f(x'(t))g(x(t))=0 \) to the second-order matrix differential equation of the form \[ (r(t)X'(t))'+p(t)X'(t)+Q(t)F(X'(t))G(X(t))=0, \quad t \geq t_0\geq 0,\tag{*} \] in this paper, the author uses matrix Riccati-type transformations and obtains several oscillation theorems on equation \((*)\). However, the assumptions in this paper are quite difficult to be satisfied. Therefore, here we refer the reader to \textit{Q.-R. Wang} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 276, 373--395 (2002; Zbl 1022.34032)] and suggest studying second-order nonlinear matrix differential systems of the form \( [r(t)X'(t)]'+p(t)X'(t)+F(t, X(t), X'(t))X(t)=0\).
