Kan extensions of internal functors. Nonconnected case (Q5957768)

Recent developments have shown that the notion of an internal category is extremely important in many areas of mathematics. As is well known internal categories in the category of groups are equivalent to crossed modules. In this paper the author examines the question of the existence of internal Kan extensions for internal functors between such internal categories in the category of groups, providing a complete answer in terms of algebraic conditions.
