Difference functions of periodic \(L_ p\) functions. (Q595879)

For subclasses \(\mathcal G\subseteq\mathcal F\) of the class of measurable functions on the torus \(\mathbb T=\mathbb R/\mathbb Z\) let \[ \mathfrak h(\mathcal F,\mathcal G)=\{H\subseteq\mathbb T: (\exists f\in\mathcal F\setminus\mathcal G) (\forall h\in H)\quad \Delta_hf\in\mathcal G\}, \] where \(\Delta_hf(x)=f(x+h)-f(x)\). \textit{T.~Keleti} conjectured in [Real Anal. Exch. 23, No.2, 431-440 (1997; Zbl 0943.28002)] that \(\mathfrak h(L_p,L_q)\) is the class of \(N\)-sets. The author proves this conjecture for \(q\leq2\) and, moreover, he proves that also \(\mathfrak h(L_p,\bigcap_{r<q}L_r)\) is the class of \(N\)-sets for \(0\leq p<q<\infty\).
