The author studies a single queue with its service rate dependent upon feedback information delayed by propagation delays. First he studies a single queue with a Markov modulated Poisson arrival process. The workloads brought in by the arrivals form an i.i.d. sequence. The service rate depends upon the information about the total workload in the queue, available at the scheduler (which may be dated). The buffer can be finite or infinite. The paper gives conditions for the stability, the rates of convergence to stationarity and the finiteness of moments for the workload and the waiting time process. Next it considers a system of several queues sharing a common server.
