The dynamics of a massless particle in a \(D\)-dimensional space is considered, the Lagrangian of which is proportional to the \(N\)th extrinsic curvature of the world line. The Lagrangian and Hamiltonian are discussed, and the classical and quantum properties of the system are investigated.
