In this work, the author generalizes a theorem of A. S. Fainshtein related to the Taylor spectrum \(\sigma\) in finite-dimensional Banach Lie algebras. In [J. Oper. Theory 29, 3-7 (1993; Zbl 0859.47005)], \textit{A. S. Fainshtein} proved the following: Let \(T=(T_1,\dots,T_n)\) a family of operators which generates a finite-dimensional nilpotent Lie algebra \(E\) in the algebra \(B(X)\) of all bounded linear operators on a complex Banach space \(X\). Fix \(p=(p_1,\dots,p_m)\) a family of noncommutative polynomials in \(T_1,\dots,T_n\) such that the Lie subalgebra \(\mathcal P\) generated by \(p\) in the universal enveloping algebra \({\mathcal U}(E)\) is finite-dimensional. Then \(\sigma(p(T))=p(\sigma(T))\). In order to extend the result above, the author introduces the Taylor ultraspectrum \(\sigma^u\). He proves the relation \(\sigma^u(f(T))=f(\sigma^u(T))\) for a family of rational functions (and their limits) \(f=(f_i)_{i\in I}\) of a family \(T\) of generators of a nilpotent Lie algebra \(E\) such that \(f\) generates a (weakly) quasinilpotent Lie algebra, which is also a projective Banach space.
