Global projection-type error bounds for general variational inequalities (Q5959908)

General variational inequalities, introduced and studied by \textit{M. A. Noor} [ Appl. Math. Lett. 1, No. 2, 119-122 (1988; Zbl 0655.49005)], have appeared as useful and important generalization of variational inequalities. It has been shown that a wide class of nonsymmetric and odd-order problems arising in finance, economics, transportation, elasticity and optimization can be studied via the general variational inequalities. In this interesting papers, the authors have obtained global projection-type error bounds for the general variational inequalities. Since the general variational inequalities include a classs of quasi variational inequalities and the vertical complementarity problems as special cases, so the results obtained in this paper continue to hold for these problems.
