The notion of utility is generalized for the case of some general rank-weighted form for finite gambles. That is coupled with the concept of joint receipt, and the linking law of binary segregation leads to the \(p\)-additive representation derived in this Luce's fashion. Several results are reported. All original theorems are proved.
