Dynamics of relative phases: generalised multibreathers (Q5960064)

The authors study the construction of an effective Hamiltonian for approximate dynamics of slow variables. A submanifold and an effective Hamiltonian on it (such that the difference between the two Hamiltonian vector fields is small) are derived. The effective Hamiltonian is independent of one coordinate. Then the authors give a method to find multibreather soluitons. As the main result, the author describe approximate dynamics of generalized multibreathers and present applications to oscillator networks.
