The authors show that the equations governing nonlinear drift-Alfvén waves in a relativistic electron-positron plasma have stationary solutions for a two-scale dipolar vortex configuration. The presence of heavy ions in such a plasma is found to enhance the spatial localization of vortex structures, which may further be related to characteristic micro-features in pulsar radioemission.
