This book is an introduction to zero-sum repeated games written for readers ``interested in discovering the area (p.~VII)''. In the first five chapters, the author introduces the basic concepts, and then discusses the simplest frameworks for games with incomplete information on one side (Chapter 3), games with incomplete information on both sides (Chapter 4), and stochastic games (Chapter 5). In the survey-like Chapter 6 entitled ``Advances'', he then discusses more general situations and relations between the forms of games introduced in the earlier chapters. From the introduction: ``This course is in the spirit of introductory notes, dealing with incomplete information games in the simplest case where the hypotheses of standard signalling and independent case are assumed. \dots On the other hand stochastic games are presented and the connection between the two domains is emphasized, which in some cases extends to the non-zero sum case. \dots I tried to emphasize the basic rôle of the recursive structure and the corresponding operator approach. Recent advances such as the dual game and connections with differential games are also introduced. (p.~VII)'' For further reading beyond this book, the author suggests the more advanced text ``Repeated Games'' by \textit{J.-F. Mertens, S. Sorin} and \textit{S. Zamir} [published as Center for Operations Research and Econometrics Discussion Papers (CORE Discussion Papers) 9420, 9421, and 9422 (1994)].
