The problem on equilibrium of a nonhomogeneous band (Q5960245)

The authors examine the elastic equilibrium of a band of unit width and length \(l\gg 1\) under the action of loads of two types. The loads of the first type are distributed throughout the long sides whereas the loads of the second type are distributed throughout the short sides and are statically equivalent to longitudinal and transverse forces as well as to bending moments at the centers of end sections. The authors find the solution to the problem in the form of a series in gradients of longitudinal force and bending moment.
