Topological geometrical categories (Q5960403)

The author studies topological categories (over \({\mathcal S}et\)) which are `geometrical' in the sense that they have an initially dense set of initially injective objects. He shows that such categories may be characterized as the categories of `affine sets' relative to some many-sorted (infinitary) algebra. He also defines an appropriate notion of (concrete) functor between such categories, and studies the category of all topological geometrical categories. The paper includes an extensive list of particular examples of topological geometrical categories.
