Branching process associated with 2D-Navier-Stokes equation (Q5960830)

The paper deals with the 2D Navier-Stokes equations in a bounded open set. The existence of a unique smooth solution \(u\) of the Navier-Stokes equations is supposed and \(u\) as well as the vorticity \((\omega=\text{rot} u)\) are represented through a stochastic model. The connections between the Navier-Stokes equations and the equation verified by the vorticity \(\omega\) are studied. The equivalence between the two reflected stochastic differential equations and the Navier-Stokes equations is proved. It is checked that these diffusion processes are in duality. The construction of the branching process associated with the Navier-Stokes equations is described.
