    The authors consider the nonlinear boundary value problem \[ (-1)^m\Delta^{2 m}y= \lambda F(k,y, \Delta y, \dots, \Delta^{2m-1}y),\quad 0 \leq k \leq N; \] \[ \Delta^{2i}y(0)= \Delta^{2i} y(N+2m -2i), \quad 0\leq i \leq m-1, \] with \(m\), \( N \geq 1\) and \(\lambda>0\). Under suitable conditions in \(F\), they study the values of \(\lambda>0\) for which there exists a positive solution of such problem. The obtained results follow from \textit{M. A. Krasnosel'skij}'s fixed point theorem given in [Positive solutions of operator equations, Groningen, P. Noordhoff (1964; Zbl 0121.10604)].
