Several types of block descent methods have been presented for solving linear systems of algebraic equations with many right hand sides. The type of methods depends on the functional to be minimized Hermitian positive definite projection methods, generalized projection methods, Richardson method and Barzilai-Borwein method, which are convergent. Then, improved block EN methods are proposed, based on the criterion corresponding to the Hermitian positive definite projection method, generalized projection method and the Richardson method. Further block hybrid and minimal residual smoothing method along with the block quasi-minimal residual smoothing method are derived.
