Verlinde factorization and Lie algebra cohomology (Q5961435)

The paper is in a sense the continuation of a previous paper of the author [\textit{C. Teleman}, Commun. Math. Phys. 173, 265-311 (1995; Zbl 0842.17038)]. It deals with a generalization of the ``Verlinde conjecture'' theorem to higher cohomology of the Lie algebra \({\mathfrak g}[\Sigma]\) of \({\mathfrak g}\)-valued algebraic functions on a punctured curve \(\Sigma\). The main result is the ``rigidity of cohomology'' theorem that deals with the behavior of the cohomology while deforming \(\Sigma\) and generalizes the rigidity theorem of \textit{A. Tsuchiya}, \textit{K. Ueno} and \textit{Y. Yamada} [Adv. Stud. Pure Math. 19, 459-566 (1989; Zbl 0696.17010)].
