This paper presents an application of the direct dynamic stiffness method to estimate natural frequencies of laminated circular cylindrical shells and panels. The dynamic stiffness matrix is derived from the differential equations of laminated shells based on the Donnell's thin shell theory. Therefore, the interactions between the panels of the shell structure can be modelled exactly.
