IC related bases for the coordinate algebra of a quantum matrix semigroup have been introduced in [\textit{J. Du}, Bull. Lond. Math. Soc. 24, 325-334 (1992; Zbl 0770.17005)]. This paper considers a similar problem corresponding to the coordinate algebra of a quantum linear group. The author constructs a basis \(\widetilde B\) for such a coordinate algebra via the IC basis \(B\) for the quantum matrix semigroup with the property that it gives rise to the canonical bases of irreducible corepresentations. Considering this as the analogue of the `\(C\)' basis for a Hecke algebra, the author studies the analogous basis corresponding to the `\(T\)' basis. It is shown that an analogous basis may be defined via Dipper-Donkin's basis given in [\textit{R. Dipper} and \textit{S. Donkin}, Proc. Lond. Math. Soc., III. Ser. 63, 165-211 (1991; Zbl 0734.20018)]. In fact, the basis \(\widetilde B\) and Dipper-Donkin's basis are quasi-IC-related. Thus it allows one to introduce a new basis \(T\) for the coordinate algebra of quantum linear groups such that \(\widetilde B\) and \(T\) are IC related. Taking the images of \(\widetilde B\) and \(T\), the author obtains two bases \(\widetilde B_0\) and \(T_0\) for the coordinate algebra of the quantum special linear group and proves that they are IC related, too. In the second part, the author shows that the basis \(\widetilde B\) is nothing but the dual basis of \(\dot B\), the canonical basis of the modified quantized enveloping algebra \(\dot U\). This is quite natural owing to the coincidence of the canonical bases for irreducible representations. Thus, actually, a new (and dual) description for \(\dot B\) in the case of type \(A\) is obtained.
