Developing the theory of discrete convergence the author establishes an error estimate of order \(O(h^2)\) for a most natural discretization of the problem \[ y''+ \int^1_0 k(s-t)y^4(t)dt =f(s),\;0\leq s\leq 1,\quad y'(0)=y'(1)=0, \] where \[ k(s)=1- |s|l(s),\quad l(s)= {s^2+3/2 \over (s^2+1)^{3/2}}. \]
