In a series of recent papers \textit{M. Hager} and \textit{J. Sjöstrand} [Math. Ann. 342, No.~1, 177--243 (2008; Zbl 1151.35063)], \textit{J. Sjöstrand} [Ann. Fac. Sci. Toulouse, Math. (6) 19, No.~2, 277--301 (2010; Zbl 1206.35267)] and \textit{W. Bordeaux Montrieux} and \textit{J. Sjöstrand} [\url{arXiv: 0903.2937v2}] established almost sure Weyl asymptotics for small random perturbations of non-self-adjoint elliptic operators in semiclassical and high energy regimes. The purpose of the present article is to present a related simpler result in the simpler setting of Toeplitz quantization on a \(2n\)-dimensional torus. The authors estimate the counting function of eigenvalues by using traces rather than by studying determinants. As in [Hager-Sjöstrand, loc. cit.], the singular value decomposition and some slightly exotic symbol classes play a crucial role.
