It is well known by now that the collection of separable Banach spaces can be parametrized, by quite canonical means, in such a way that it becomes a standard Borel space \(SB\). It is therefore possible -- and useful -- to talk about Borel or non-Borel families of Banach spaces. The present article, which builds up on previous works of Argyros, Bossard, Dodos and Ferenczi, addresses a very natural question: Is the duality map \(d\) which maps a space \(X\) to its dual \(X^*\) Borel in some sense? It is shown that, if \(B\) is a Borel subset of the non-Borel set \(SD\) of Banach spaces with separable dual, then there is a Borel map \(d\) from \(B\) to \(SD\) such that \(d(X)\) is isomorphic to \(X^*\) for all \(X\in B\). With the same notation, it is also shown that there exists a map \(z\) from \(B\) to the set of shrinking Schauder bases such that every \(X\in B\) is isomorphic to a subspace of the closed linear span of \(z(X)\). This last statement constitutes a parametrized version of Zippin's theorem.
