The authors in this paper assume \(R\) to be an associative prime ring with center \(Z(R)\) and \(R\) contains a nontrivial idempotent. They say that a family of maps \(D=\{d_n\}_{n\in\mathbb N}\) is a Lie higher derivable map (without assumption of additivity) if \(d_0=\text{id}_R\) (the identity map on \(R\)) and \(d_n([a,b])=\sum_{p+q=n}[d_p(a),d_q(b)]\) for all \(a,b\in R\) and for all \(n\in\mathbb N\). The authors obtain in their present paper, if \(D\) is Lie higher derivable then there exists an element \(z_{a,b}\) (depending on \(a\) and \(b\)) in its center \(Z(R)\) such that \(d_n(a+b)=d_n(a)+d_n(b)+z_{a,b}\). In fact, they use induction method to prove most of their hypotheses. The concept of higher derivations for first time appears by Hasse and Schmidt in 1937. Over the last decades a lot of work has been done on the additivity of mappings on rings. These mappings include multiplicative mappings, (Jordan) derivable mappings, Jordan (triple) derivable mappings, Jordan elementary mappings and so on. Several authors have made important contributions to related topics. Precisely, the authors study Lie higher derivable maps on prime rings containing a nontrivial idempotent and they prove that every Lie higher derivable map becomes nearly additive under certain conditions. Their results can be considered as advance and a positive step forward in this field.
