Summary: This paper considers the following boundary value problem: \[ \begin{aligned}((-u^{\prime}(t))^n)^{\prime}=nt^{n-1}f(u(t)),\quad 0 < t < 1,\\ u^{\prime}(0)=0, \quad u(1)=0,\end{aligned} \] where \(n > 1\) is odd. We use the method of lower and upper solutions and present a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of positive solutions to the above boundary value problem and some sufficient conditions for the existence of positive solutions.
